Over the past few years, both my kiddos have been diagnosed with multiple, significant medical and educational challenges.

As if homeschooling them while running my business didn’t keep me busy enough, suddenly we added in 10+ appointments per month for doctor visits, therapies, and tutoring.

I was stretched thinner than ever.

It would have been easy to make my life all about my kids and neglect everything else for their sake. (That's tempting for most moms, isn't it?)

But by getting clear on my core values and my mission, by developing boundaries and committing to meet MY needs as well, I’ve been able to adjust my life to accommodate our needs.

  • I changed my business model from time-intensive private coaching only to a more evergreen business ecosystem that's more sustainable and scalable.

  • And I stayed fully committed to my own self-care – tae kwon do, ballroom dancing, and other activities that fill my cup so I can pour out for the people who depend on me. And when life changes (because it constantly does!) I can adjust because I’m focused on aligning with my core values, no matter what the specifics look like.
  • I ended some commitments I no longer had time for - while honoring the other people involved and not leaving them to scramble for a replacement.
